Shedding A Light Over the Holiday Season

Bring your non-food household and toiletry products into the utility office and in appreciation, you will be given one compact fluorescent light bulb (CFL) per utility account. While making a donation to the food pantry and replacing a bulb may not appear to be related, they both improve our community in their own unique way. When donating basic essential items such as toothpaste, brushes, deodorant, dish soap, diapers and toilet paper, you will assist your neighbors during a challenging time in their lives. By replacing incandescent light bulbs with CFL bulbs, you will improve our environment by reducing electric consumption. All items collected will be delivered to the local food shelf for distribution to families in need.
