Residential Parking Permit System
Permits
The City of River Falls residential parking permit system is in effect September 1 through May 31, for most residential zones. Permits can be obtained by either submitting an online application or by mailing an application to City Hall. You will need proof of residency, as required in Section 12.06.060 of the Municipal Code.

Mail-In Instructions:
1. Fill out the Residential Parking Permit Application
2. Include a copy of proof of residency.
3. Include a self-addressed stamped return envelope, so that we may mail your permit to you.

Permits can be obtained at City Hall on the dates and times listed below. You will need proof of residency and a completed application.

After the initial in-person application dates above, permits will be issued by applying online or by appointment. To save time when obtaining your permit, please fill out the Residential Parking Permit Application in advance and bring it with you on the dates and times listed above.
If you are unable to obtain a permit during the above times or have questions about permit issuance, please call City Hall at 715-425-0900 to make an appointment with customer service representatives during normal business hours.
If you have questions about parking enforcement, please call the Police Department at 715-425-0909.
Fees
There is no fee for the initial permit. Replacement permits are $50, transfers are $10. Permits must be properly displayed when parked in the residential zone. Permits do not exempt bearer from following other parking restrictions.
