Medication Disposal
The River Falls Police Department collects expired, unwanted, or unused prescription drugs or over-the-counter medications. City residents are encouraged to bring these items to the Police Department for proper disposal. This is a "no questions asked" policy. This program is free and available to all to use. The River Falls Police Department is offering a special one-day Dose of Reality Drug Take Back Day in conjunction with the DEA two times a year.
Do you have needles and sharps to dispose of? The River Falls Area Hospital has community sharps containers available for free. They accept the filled containers for safe disposal. The River Falls Police Department does not have a sharps disposal program.
